How does Nether coordinate conversion work?

Use the Overworld ⇔ Nether coordinate converter on this page. Nether X and Z are the Overworld X and Z divided by 8 (rounded down, as in the game); Overworld X and Z are the Nether X and Z multiplied by 8. Y stays the same. Type on either side and the other side updates. On the map, the panel also shows the equivalent X and Z as you move the cursor.

How do I link two Nether gates?

Create one marker in Overworld and one in Nether, both set to Category: Portal and Type: Nether Gate. Then edit either marker and select the counterpart in Linked Nether gate.

Where is my data saved?

Everything is saved in your browser's localStorage on this device. Nothing is sent to any server.

How do I move data to another browser or device?

Use Export JSON to download your markers, then open the tool on the other browser and use Import JSON to restore them.

Divide Overworld X and Z by 8 for the Nether; multiply Nether X and Z by 8 for the Overworld. Y stays the same. Type on either side and the other side updates.

Results are rounded down, as in the game (negative values go to the lower integer: Overworld X −1 → Nether X −1). Y stays the same, but in the Nether you normally can't go above the bedrock ceiling at Y 127. A portal you light may connect to an existing portal near these coordinates instead.
