Random Number Generator

✨ Features

  • Generate 1–1,000 random numbers at once between any min and max (negatives allowed, up to ±1 billion)
  • No duplicates, ascending sort, and 1–4 decimal places
  • Exclude numbers or ranges, written like “4, 9, 13-15”
  • Draw mode: one number at a time, filling the screen. No repeats until you reset, with a numbered history and undo
  • Copy results or drawn numbers as lines or comma-separated, or save them as TXT / CSV
  • Uses your browser's cryptographic random source (crypto.getRandomValues) so every number is equally likely. Settings and drawn numbers are saved automatically

🪄 Use cases

Raffles and prize draws

Draw winning ticket numbers one by one and show them big on a projector or TV. No number comes up twice.

Calling on students

Use 1–40 to pick a student number at random, and add absent students' numbers to Exclude. Draw numbers here; to pick by name, use the Random Name Picker.

Bingo and games

Call bingo numbers with 1–75, or use 1–6 instead of a die. The history keeps every number drawn.

Test data and sampling

Make up to 1,000 numbers at once and save them as CSV. With no duplicates, they work as random sample IDs.

🔒 Privacy

Numbers are generated inside your browser and never sent to a server. Your settings, light/dark theme and the numbers drawn in draw mode are stored only in this browser (localStorage); lists you generate aren't stored. Only when you press “Share settings” is a link containing the range, count, no-duplicates, sort, decimal places, exclusions and mode sent to and stored by our link shortener (share.omikuji.dev). It never includes results or drawn numbers.

❓ FAQ

How do I get random numbers with no duplicates?

In “Generate a list”, turn on “No duplicates”, set how many you want and press “Generate”. You can't ask for more numbers than the range has available; if you do, the page tells you the maximum. For example, 1–10 without duplicates gives at most 10.

How do I show numbers one at a time on a big screen for a raffle or bingo?

Switch to “Draw one at a time” and press “Fullscreen” (or the F key). “Hide buttons (Zen mode)” leaves just the number, the history and faint “Draw next” and “Undo” buttons. Press Space or Enter to draw the next number; a number drawn once won't come up again until you reset. If you draw by mistake, “Undo” (the U key) takes it back.

Is it really random? Is there any bias?

It uses your browser's cryptographic random number source (crypto.getRandomValues). Squeezing a random value into a range with the remainder of a division favors smaller numbers, so draws that land in the leftover part beyond the largest exact multiple of the range size are thrown away and redrawn (rejection sampling). Every number in the range has exactly the same chance.

If I reload the page, do I lose the numbers already drawn?

No. Numbers drawn in draw mode and your settings are saved in the browser automatically, so reopening the page on the same device and browser lets you carry on. To start fresh, press “Reset” twice. Generated lists aren't saved, so copy them or save them as TXT / CSV if you need to keep them.

Can I exclude certain numbers?

Yes. Type them into “Exclude”, separated by commas or spaces, like “4, 9, 13-15”. 13-15 means 13, 14 and 15. Negative numbers work too (e.g. -5--3). Exclusions aren't used when you generate decimals.

Is any of my data sent anywhere?

Random numbers, results and drawn numbers are never sent. Settings and drawn numbers are stored only on your device. Only when you press “Share settings” is a link with your settings sent to our link shortener (share.omikuji.dev).
