Profile Picture Maker

Crop a photo into a round icon, add a border and export it at every social media size at once. Background replacement runs on AI inside your browser, so your photo is never sent anywhere.

Features

  • Crop photos into circles, rounded squares or squares — drag and zoom to frame
  • Solid or gradient borders, with an optional gap between border and photo
  • Cut out the person with AI and use a transparent, solid or gradient background (no upload)
  • Export X, Instagram, LINE, Discord, Slack and other sizes plus favicon.ico as one ZIP
  • Check how the icon looks at 16–64 px on light and dark backgrounds

Use cases

Matching avatars everywhere

Make every size for X, Instagram, LINE, Discord and more from a single photo.

Work chat and video calls

Swap a busy background for a clean color or gradient.

Favicons for blogs and sites

Turn a logo or portrait into favicon.ico and check it stays legible when tiny.

Streamers and communities

Gradient rings make your icon stand out in crowded lists.

Privacy

Cropping, borders and export all happen inside your browser, on your own device, and your photo is never sent to any server. The only network access is the one-time download of the AI model and runtime (from this site, falling back to huggingface.co and cdn.jsdelivr.net) when you replace the background, which does not include your photo.

FAQ

Is my photo uploaded?

No. Even the AI that cuts out the background runs in your browser. The only download is the AI model the first time, and your photo is never part of it.

Will a round image turn square again on social media?

The area outside the circle is exported as transparent PNG, so it stays round. Social sites crop avatars to circles anyway; with a border, uploading the round version looks best.

Are the social media sizes exact?

They are typical recommended or display sizes. Most services resize uploads automatically, so a larger size (400–800 px) is a safe choice when unsure.

Can I make a favicon?

Yes. Check “Include favicon.ico” to add a single favicon.ico containing 16, 32 and 48 px versions to the ZIP. The small-size preview shows how it will look.

Hair is not cut out well with a transparent background

When the background is close in color to your hair or clothes, the AI struggles to find the edge. Use a photo taken against a plain wall, or touch it up in the Background Remover first.
