Your omikuji settings are encoded into the share URL. To make a short link, that URL (including the settings) is sent to and stored by this site's link shortener (share.omikuji.dev), which redirects the short link to it. If shortening fails, the long URL is used as is. Everything else runs in your browser. Don't put personal information you want to keep private in the messages.

How long does a created omikuji remain valid?

All the settings live inside the URL, so the long URL (the one that contains the settings) never expires. A short link is deleted from the link shortener if nobody opens it for one year since it was last opened. To keep using it for a long time, also save the long URL that the short link opens.

Can people draw on their smartphones?

Yes, it works on smartphones, tablets, and desktops. You can also print the QR code so people can scan and draw on their phones.

How are fortune probabilities determined?

Each fortune is assigned a weight number. The chance of each fortune appearing is proportional to its weight relative to the total. For example, weights of 10, 30, and 20 give a 1:3:2 ratio.

Can unlimited people draw from the same link?

Yes, anyone with the URL can draw as many times as they like. Each draw is independently randomized.
