🔒 Privacy

Reading, merging and saving all happen inside your browser, on your own device. Your PDFs are never uploaded to a server, so you can merge contracts and documents with personal data without them leaving your device. Files are not stored in the URL or in localStorage and are gone when you close the page.

❓ FAQ

Are my PDFs uploaded?

No. The merging is done by a library (pdf-lib) running inside your browser, and the contents of your PDFs never leave your device. Once the page has loaded, it even works in airplane mode.

Can I merge password-protected PDFs?

No. PDFs that ask for a password to open, and PDFs that open but restrict printing or editing, are encrypted, so this tool cannot read them. It does not remove passwords or restrictions.

Does merging reduce quality?

No. Pages are not turned into images or recompressed — the content of each page (text, vector graphics and image data) is copied into the new PDF as is. Text stays searchable and selectable.

Are bookmarks and forms kept?

Bookmarks (the document outline) are not carried over. Links and annotations on the pages are kept, but internal links that pointed into another file may lead somewhere else. Form fields with the same name in different files may be merged into a single field.

Can I merge large PDFs?

Yes, within your device's memory. Most computers handle several hundred pages or a few hundred MB without trouble, but phones may fail when the total is large. In that case, merge in a few smaller batches.
